The activities in Fontaines were so thrilling! I enjoyed hiking, fishing, and cycling. The accommodation had a lovely garden, free parking, and a restaurant. The continental breakfast was delicious and the nearest airport was La Rochelle-Ile de Re.

Oh, there was just one tiny thing I didn't like. but wait, there was nothing!

We spent a relaxing time here, would recomand to anyone. That was pretty hotel set in rural area, right by a restaurant and a substantial lake of water for several hours after showering. Superior family room was excellent with comfortable bed.

The atmosphere created was family. The rooms were beautiful and outstanding, had down pillows. A refrigerator, an electric kettle, and a microwave were a nice touch...

Great location, close to a restaurant and surrounded by a peaceful garden in a quiet village. Easy to get to as well. Just a heads-up, there was some standing water in the bathroom for a few hours after taking a shower 😊.

As a large family with two young children, we had a fantastic visit to Maison D'Hotes Le Lavoir. The owners were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, despite the language barrier. They went out of their way to make us feel at home and even cooked us a delicious traditional Vendee meal. The location, nestled in a quiet hamlet, provided a peaceful and relaxing overnight stay. The accommodation itself was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed, with a charming and quirky style that the kids loved. We would definitely return to this special place.

For dads, it would be great to have more activities for children.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming Maison d'Hotes. The room was beautifully decorated in a shabby chic style and had separate WC and an extra bedroom, perfect for families. The location was incredibly quiet and we loved spending time on the outside furniture in the peaceful surroundings. The breakfast served in the family dining area was excellent, with delicious homemade treats. The hosts, Rene and Marlene, made us feel like part of their family. Despite the language barrier, Marlene communicated with us using a tablet translation, and Rene's warmth and hospitality needed no words. We've stayed here multiple times and will definitely return whenever we are in the area. It truly feels like a home away from home with a French twist.

The room I booked was outstanding, clean, and provided with a seating area overlooking the garden and a patio. The food was brilliant with lots of choice. The hotel's location was just off a substantial lake, making it a great spot for relaxation and leisure activities.

My stay here was comfortable, everything was fine, and the location was marvelous, being very close to the church, a substantial lake of water, and the "marais poitevin.

The bedroom with an adjoining children's room was perfect for my needs. The B&B's quaint dining area was filled with interesting pieces of shabby chic decor, adding to the charm of the place. The meals served were a true feast, with pastry-based dishes, homegrown vegetables, and plenty of cheese. The breakfast, featuring homemade jams, yogurt, and eggs. The comfortable seating area outside the room and well-tended garden added to the overall ambiance. The bed was comfy, and the availability of a fridge, microwave, and wide selection of teas and coffee made my stay even more convenient.

During my Christmas stay, I really liked the cozy atmosphere of the hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The homemade meals were absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and a variety of dishes to choose from. the location of the hotel was perfect for a quiet and peaceful holiday getaway, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

One aspect that I didn't particularly enjoy was the lack of proper ventilation and lighting in the bedroom. The French doors served as the main source of both, which meant that on hot days, I had to leave them open, making the room a bit vulnerable to inclement weather conditions.

I had a fabulous time at this charming B&B. I hiked, fished, and cycled my heart out. The continental breakfast was to die for!

Oh, and let's not forget the joy of finding everything closed on a Sunday evening. Such a delightful surprise!
